Have you ever considered why some people excel at nearly everything that they do? It is interesting to watch these people. Perhaps you want your offspring to be like this when they grow up? Well that is entirely possible considering most believe that it is 80% nature, 20% nurture. How can you do this? Well, teach your children to be winners.
You know growing up I read everyone's biography and worked very hard to live up to their hard work efforts and surpass them. Then later I find out it was all "dead white men" who were ten foot tall, none of it was real. I was competing against Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, former world leaders and studying their history growing up, but it was all embellished, I wish some one would have told me that, I was pretty hard on myself?
Interesting, this whole time I set my sights too high and then pushed too hard and over shot the target, now I can't turn it off. That's okay at least the journey was fun and since I am here and since I am able may as well pick up the pace, why stop now?
So, I ask you is this the attitude your want your kids to have as they grow up? Well if it is, teach your kids to never give up, do the best at everything they do and never accept limits in their lives. Tell them they can succeed, give them the tools and teach strong work ethic and most of all teach them how to be winners. If you do that, then your life will also have been well spent.
